Doosan Infracore to set up diesel engine venture in China

SEOUL, Sept. 8 (Yonhap) -- Doosan Infracore Co., South Korea's biggest construction equipment maker, said Tuesday that it will set up diesel engine plants in China with Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group Co.

Doosan Infracore and Xuzhou Construction Machinery, China's leading construction
equipment maker, will each hold a 50 percent stake in the joint venture and
invest a combined 680 million yuan (US$100 million) in it over the next four
years.
According to Doosan Infracore, the plants will be able to produce up to 50,000
diesel engine units with displacements of 6 and 8 liters when construction is
complete in 2013.
