Three Yemeni-Jewish families prep to leave for Israel
SANA'A, Sept.08 (Saba) - Three Jewish families of 12 members are preparing to immigrate to Israel next Wednesday, close source to the Jewish sect in Yemen has revealed to the independent website
al-tagheer.net.
The three Jewish families coming from Amran province are currently staying in a
hotel in the capital Sana'a in preparation for traveling via one of Jewish
migration organization.
In a phone call with al-tagheer.net, Rabbi Yahya Yousif confirmed the preparation
of the three families for travel, considering that is a danger threatening future
of the
Jewish cult in Yemen.
He voiced his appeal to President Ali Abdullah Saleh end the process of
Yemeni-Jewish families' organized emigration behind which Jewish organizations
stand.
Recently, a number of Jewish sect's families in Yemen have left for Israel, some of
them secretly, after they faced harassment.
All behind the fleeing was fear of persecution.
