AMR MOUSSA: LEAGUE OF ARAB STATES SUPPORTS YEMEN UNITY
CAIRO, Sep. 09 (Saba) - The League of Arab States is standing with
Yemen issues in protecting the country from any sabotage elements
seeking to break stability and security, the League's Secretary
General Amr Moussa stated on Tuesday.
A meeting between Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi and Amr Moussa
discussed issues included in the agenda of the 132nd regular session
of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level to be launched
on Wednesday in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
Al-Qirbi reviewed, during a press statement, situation developments
in Saada, declaring the military operations against al-Houthi
rebellion elements are still continued.
The government action is due to the continuation of the rebels
destructive acts in the province as well as the killing citizens and
destroying public and private institutions, the Minister made clear.
He wished al-Houthi sabotage elements to stop their criminal actions
and to respond to peace calls in accordance to the government's six
points to realize peace in Saada.
He added the rebels can present their legitimate demands to the
government which, in turn, will study them.
With regards to the external support for these elements, the
Minister affirmed there is an external support and the specialized
bodies are collecting evidence to reveal the supportive countries
for these sabotage elements.
