SEVEN FOREIGN STUDENTS ACCEPTED UNDER IPB SPECIAL PROGRAM
Bogor, W Java, Sept 9 (ANTARA) - Seven foreign students have been accepted in advanced training under the magister program of the Bogor Institute of Agriculture (IPB) for the 2009/2010 academic year under a Developing Countries Partnership program.
Prof Dr H Khairil Anwar Notodiputro of the IPB said here Wednesday that they came from Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, Madagaskar and Syria.
He said that since the first batch of the students, the total number of these students reached 29, four of them had finished their study, but two withdrew.
In mid-July 2009, he said, one of the graduates who came from Sudan, Amirouche Chikhoune, was among the 283 graduates.
In the meantime, in last May, Khairil Anwar Notodiputro said, the six foreign students who followed the program came from Uganda, Cambodia, Lesotho, Madagaskar, and Sudan.
They attended post-graduate training for magister program in Information Technology, biology, agronomy and agro-economy.
