S. Korea wins int`l archery event with 4 golds
ULSAN, South Korea, Sept. 9 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's Lee Lee Chang-hwan and Joo
Hyun-jung won gold medals in the men's and women's individual recurve events in
the 45th World Archery Championships in Ulsan Wednesday, leading their country to
the championship in overall standings with four golds and three silvers.
Russia finished second with two golds, one silver and one bronze, followed by the
United States with two golds and one bronze.
Lee won his first gold medal in the men's individual recurve final, beating
compatriot Lim Dong-hyun 113 to 108, while Joo defeated the 17-year-old South
Korean prodigy Kwak Ye-ji 113-112 to snatch the gold.
South Korea also swept gold medals in the men's and women's recurve team events
held Tuesday.
