President heads a meeting for GPC general committee

SANA'A, Sep. 09 (Saba)-
President Ali Abdullah Saleh, chairman of General People Congress Party GPC headed
on Wednesday
a meeting for the general committee of the party over current political developments
in the country The meeting approved several decisions to enhance performance of the
government
bodies and face challenges facing the nation.
During two weeks ago, the committee held two meetings to discuss the national
vision to determine and modernize reforms presented by the party and the national
democratic
collation. The committee also affirmed its commitment with the agreement signed with
the Joint Meeting Parties (JMP) in February of 2009.
The committee highly appreciated achievements of the armed and security forces as
well as honest citizens in fighting elements of rebellion and sabotage in Saada
province.
It also valued relief convoys sent by different governorates to support displaced
people and armed and security forces.
The committee decided to hold a press conference next Saturday to clarify position
of the party over certain developments in the nation.
