President attends ceremony of rewarding winners of memorizing Koran

SANA'A, Sep. 09 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended =
on Wednesday a ceremony organized
to reward winners of memorizing holy Koran competition.
In the ceremony, president Saleh affirmed concern of the government to =
encourage youths to memorize the holy Koran and learn Islamic sciences.
He pointed out to achievements of the Yemeni revolutions in bring an =
end for regionalism and sectarian ideas, and rejection for violence and =
terrorism.
President Saleh also insisted on strengthening the national loyalty and =
unity among youths.
For his part, the minister of endowments and guidance Hamud al-Hitar =
reviewed three stages of the nationwide competition which all =
governorates participated in.
