SCORES OF BABIES BORN ON `TRIPLE NINE` IN GORONTALO

Gorontalo, Indonesia, Sept 10 (ANTARA) - A total of 23 babies were born in different maternity hospitals in Gorontalo province on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, a date containing three nines so it is popularly called "Triple Nine."

One who is born on 9-9-2009 , according to certain myths as well Chinese astrological calculations, is destined to experience great luck in his or her future, and therefore many pregnant mothers wished to give birth on Wednesday.

Antara learned here on Thursday that 10 babies were born in the Aloe Saboe Hospital, six of whom were delivered through cesarean section.
In Bunda maternity hospitals seven babies were born, one of them was born through cesarean section at exactly 09:09 central Indonesia standard time (WITA). It was a female baby weighing 3.7 kg.

The other six babies were born in various clinics and health centers in Gorontalo City.

A mother, Fadilawati who gave birth on Triple Nine, earlier predicted that her baby would be born on Tuesday (Sept.8), but in fact she delivered the baby on the auspicious date.

"I am very happy, because not everyone can celebrate his or her birthday on the perfect date whether through the normal or through operation, Fadilawati said.

She also explained that some women who gave birth on the special date looked happy and were accompanied by their husbands and other family members, and some even did not believe their son or daughter was born normally. ***
