CAIRO MEETING CONFIRMS SUPPORT FOR YEMEN SECURITY, UNITY

SANA'A, Sep.10 (Saba)- The 132nd regular session of the League of
Arab States at the ministerial level concluded recently in the
Egyptian capital Cairo has approved studying a Yemen-made initiative
of an Arab Union.

"The Cairo meeting decided to submit the Yemeni initiative political
and legal experts to review it and submit to a meeting of Arab
foreign ministers previous to the next Arab summit scheduled to be
held in Libya", Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi said on Thursday.

Al-Qirbi, who headed the Yemeni delegation to the Cairo meeting,
said that the participates appraised the initiative, considering it
as the only way to face challenges.

"The meeting also confirmed its support for the unity and security
of Yemen and the government's efforts to end the rebellion in the
northern province of Saada", al-Qirbi added.
