Samsung Total completes Chinese plant
SEOUL, Sept. 11 (Yonhap) -- Samsung Total Petrochemicals Co., a South Korean petrochemical producer, said Friday it has completed construction of its polypropylene plant in southern China.
The plant, located in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, can produce annually 28,000
tons of polypropylene, used mainly in making auto parts and electronic
components, the company said. It is Samsung Total's first overseas plant.
Samsung Total is a 50-50 joint venture between South Korea's Samsung Group and
French chemical group Total.
