SEVEN REBELS KILLED, ONE INJURED FOR SECURITY UNITS' SWEEPING
SANA'A, Sep. 13 (Saba) – A military source announced on Sunday seven rebels have been killed while the eighth one is injured during the sweeping of military and security units in Sufian-Jawf line.
The source, to Saba, said that the military forces set traps for groups of al-Houthi elements in areas in that line which are planted with mines and explosives by the rebellion elements.
Citizens of Thu Sulaiman region attacked a group of sabotage elements causing them heavy losses as well as seizing a number of them and handing them to the military, according to the source.
The source added that huge losses made against the rebel elements by the armed and security forces in cooperation with the citizens' support during the rebels' infiltration attempts to attack military units in some regions.
The artillery units destroyed several hideouts of the rebels in the region, the source indicated.
In this regard, a security source in Harad city, Hajjah governorate, declared that security forces seized three of the elements of terrorism and subversion possessing weapons.
In the same context, a local source made clear that the rebels continued planting mines and explosives on roads leading to al Qais mountain in the northern province of Saada.
"The rebels also set up several checkpoints on the main line for attacking the citizens and looting their belongings as well as kidnapped a man and a child in one of the areas," he said.
The source pointed out that a terrorist called al-A'aser Ali Monasar al-Aqabi had threatened citizens in the region to kill them if they would refuse to cooperate and fight with them.
