FLIGHTS IN S SUMATRA STILL NORMAL DESPITE HAZE
Palembang, S Sumatra, Sept 14 (ANTARA) - Haze that has been covering South Sumatra for the past few days has not yet disturbed airline flights at Palembang's Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II airport, an airport official said.
Rubianto of Palembang's airport operator, PT Angkasapura II, said here on Monday airline flights were still running as usual even though haze has been polluting the air over South Sumatra over the past few days.
"But the haze has not yet affected visibility too much so that flights are still running as usual," he said.
In the meantime, flights for Idul Fitri travelers were also still normal as airlines had yet to begin conducting additional flights to cope with an increase in passengers.
Garuda and Lion airlines were still doing six flights, Srivijaya Air two flights and Batavia one flight per day.
