Military source: 13 rebels killed, 17 wounded in Saada

SANA'A, Sep.15 (Saba)- One
of al-Houthi rebellion leaders called Abdul-Mohsen Tawoos (Abu Adel) has been killed
during
his move by a vehicle from al-Mahther area in Yemen's northern restless province of
Saada, a military source said on Tuesday.

The source made it clear to the state-run 26sep.net that two other rebels called
Ali Hussein al-Houthi and Abu al-Abbass were injured during clashes with the army
units
in Maran area, Saada province.
Moreover, 12 rebels were killed in al-Talh area and 15 others injured, whereas a
workshop for making mines and bombs was destroyed in Hidan district, the source
indicated.
The source added that military and security units continue its mopping-up and
tracking operations targeting the strongholds of al-Houthi rebels in al-Arkabah,
al-Modeer,
Reik and al-Surrah areas.
The Houthi rebels have been launching sporadic wars against the troops since 2004.
Thousands of people, soldiers and insurgents have been killed in Saada province,
which
is located close to border with Saudi Arabia, after the rebel group was founded by
rebel leader Hussein al-Houthi.
Hussein, the eldest brother of the current group leader Abdul-Malik, was killed by
the army in September 2004.
The Yemeni government accuses the Houthi group of trying to reinstall the rule of
imams, which was toppled by a republican revolution in northern Yemen in 1962.
