LG Electronics receives award for innovative management in France

SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's LG Electronics Inc. has received an
award in France for its innovative management, the company said Wednesday.

The world's leading home appliance manufacturer said it has received the
"Consumer Innovation Award" at the 2009 Innovation Management Awards ceremony.
The annual innovation awards event was founded in 2007 and co-organized by
France's Express-Expansion Group, consulting firm BearingPoint, Ecole des Ponts
ParisTech and TNS Sofres. The awards are given to companies based in France for
best practice in terms of innovation.
The prize awarded to LG Electronics by a jury of independent experts is for the
new innovation structure implemented in its relationship management with dealers.

"We analyzed the opinions of some 36,000 dealers in France. We released our
products based on the analysis and became one of the leaders in the categories of
mobile phones, washing machines, refrigerators and TVs," the company said in a
statement.
