Hyundai Rotem, Hanwha win order to supply railcars to Greece
SEOUL, Sept. 16 (Yonhap) -- Hyundai Rotem, a South Korean train maker, said
Wednesday its consortium with Hanwha Corp. has received an order from Greece to
supply electric railcars.
The 160 million euro order calls for Hyundai Rotem and Hanwha to deliver 102
railcars to Attiko Metro of Greece by 2011, the two Korean companies said in a
joint statement.
It was the second the Hyundai Rotem-Hanwha consortium has won a railcar order
from Greece. In 2002, the consortium got the first order to supply 126 railcars
to Greece, according to the statement.
