About 134 H1N1-infected cases in Yemen: Health Ministry
SANA'A, Sep. 16 (Saba) -
Ministry of Public Health and Population said on Wednesday the number of Swine
Flu-infected
cases in Yemen reached 134 people, after discovering more seven cases.
Spokesman of the Supreme National Committee to Encounter the International Pandemic
of Swine Flu Abdul-Hakim al-Kohlani said that the new cases are for Yemenis
infected
through contacting with others already have the virus.
"All the cases are currently under medication and isolation in their houses",
al-Kohlani said, adding that their health is stable.
It is noteworthy that Ministry of Public Health and Population is currently
studying to close Exceed Language Center in Sana'a after discovering two
H1N1-infected cases.
The Ministry told the state-run 26sep. net that taking such procedure comes under
the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO).
In this regard, the cabinet has approved in its weekly session last Tuesday the
decision of postponing the school year for one more week to be begun on October
3rd.
On Tuesday, the Ministry announced the discovery of 15 cases of H1N1.
Up to now, the total number of the infected cases, who came from outside the
country, 23 people, and the others were infected through contact.
The first confirmed H1N1-infected case was announced in Yemen on.
