Yemeni economic delegation to head for Turkey

SANA'A, Sep. 17 (Saba)- A Yemeni economic delegation headed by Planning and International Cooperation Minister Abdul- Karim al-Arhabi
is expected to visit Turkey during the period from October 4 to 6.

Well-informed sources said to the state-run 26september weekly on Thursday that the
delegation would participate in the annual meetings of the Board of Directors of
the
World Bank and International Monetary Fund to be held in Turkey.
The sources added that the meetings would discuss the negative impacts of the
global financial crisis on the economies of the world and means to face them.
"The meetings also will review investment opportunities available and mechanisms to
support developing countries", the sources added.
On the sidelines of the meetings, the Yemeni delegation will also meet with
international officials and ministers of the member states to discuss ways of
coordinating joint
cooperation between Yemen and their organizations and countries.
