INDONESIAN GOVT TO TERMINATE COOPERATION WITH LACKLUSTER TOLL ROAD INVESTORS
Jakarta, Sept 20 (ANTARA) - The government plans to terminate its cooperation with lackluster toll road investors after the Idul Fitri holidays, an official said.
"We have evaluated investors which do not make progress in the field and will terminate cooperation with them," Chief of the Toll Road Regulating Body (BPJT) Nurdin Manurung said on Sunday.
He said the body would ask the investors to seek work partners in carrying out their projects, or the government would terminate its cooperation with them.
Under the toll road operation agreement, if they failed to meet their obligations the government had the right to terminate the cooperation, he said.
The government has prepared Rp2.5 trillion in funds to accelerate the construction of toll roads in 2010.
