Seoul stocks edge up in late morning

SEOUL, Sept. 22 (Yonhap) -- South Korean stocks traded 0.94 percent higher late
Tuesday morning, led by strong foreign buying, analysts said.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) rose 15.95 points to
trade at 1,711.45 as of 11:20 a.m.
Heavy foreign buying pulled shares of most large-cap shares higher, including
Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor, pushing up the main bourse.
The local currency was trading at 1,203.65 won to the U.S. dollar as of 11:20
a.m., up 0.75 won from Monday's close.
