GOVT SOURCE WELCOMES INT'L, REGIONAL CALLS FOR CEASEFIRE IN SAADA

SANA'A, Sep. 23 (Saba)- In response to some international and regional parties' calls for ceasefire in the war afflicted Saada governorate, an official source in the government has welcomed those
calls out of concern to stop bloodshed and reduce sufferings of the displaced people.

The source pointed out that the outlaw rebel terrorists frequently attack citizens and the army forces, and break the ceasefire which the government announced on Saturday.

It said to Saba that the government announced ceasefire last Saturday due to the advent of Eid al-Fitr and in response to all calls to deliver aid to the displaced people, noting that the
government is committed to the ceasefire since then and the army forces are just reacting to the breaches and attacks the rebels do.

The source affirmed concern of the government to provide the displaced people with relief materials, making clear that the Yemeni government is working hard to achieve this goal, and that the rebels
continue to plant land mines to prevent the delivery of humanitarian supplies to make this issue under focus of the public opinion and international humanitarian and relief organizations.
