Al-Qirbi attends New York Arab Foreign ministers meeting
NEW YORK, Sep. 24 (Saba) -
Foreign minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi attended on Wednesday the meeting of Arab Foreign
ministers
that was held on the margins of the 64th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Palestine's President Mahmoud Abbas attended the meeting that was dedicated to
review the decisions from the 132nd regular meeting of the Arab Foreign Ministers'
Meeting over the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as well as the risks of Israel's
nuclear
weapons on the Arab national security. The meeting also dealt with the statement
over the Security Council's Meeting on Nuclear Weapons Proliferation as well as the
agenda
of the current session of the UN General Assembly. Al-Qirbi stressed the importance
of backing the Palestinian principles whatsoever pressure is faced, and hoped the
U.S.
honors its pledge toward the Palestinian statehood and freezing further Israeli
settlements. In the meeting, Abbas briefed Arab Foreign ministers on the outcomes of

meeting with the U.S. President Barack Obama and Israel's prime minister Benjamin
