(G-20) S. Korean businesses welcome hosting of G20 summit in 2010

SEOUL, Sept. 25 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's five influential business organizations
welcomed Friday news that the nation will host the Group of 20 summit in November
next year, calling it one of most inspiring deeds in the country's diplomatic
history.
In the U.S. city of Pittsburgh, leaders of the G20 agreed to hold their summit
next year in South Korea, government officials said.
"The selection of South Korea as a venue for the G20 summit next year means the
nation's role is rapidly expanding in the international community," the business
groups said in a joint statement.
"It was one of the greatest achievements for the nation's diplomacy history," the
statement said.
The business groups included the Federation of Korean Industries and the Korea
Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
