Hammer Forum team in Yemen

SANA'A, Sep. 27 (Saba) - A German medic team from the
Hammer Forum Association has arrived in Yemen to perform surgeries for children in
Taiz.

Head of the team Iman Wilidis said the 15-member team including specialists in
brain and nerve surgeries will perform 150 surgeries as well as testing about 2000
Yemeni
children for brain and nerve diseases.
For his part, representative of the association in Yemen Ali al-Zakhami said the
main goal of the team's visit is to provide medical and humanitarian aid for
Yemeni patient
children and to send difficult cases to Germany for special treatments.
So far, 370 Yemeni children were sent to German hospitals and more than 3000
surgeries and more than 15000 tests were performed in Yemen.
The Hammer Forum is a cooperative of doctors, guest parents, male- and female
nurses, hospitals, donors and many more engaged persons.
The Hammer Forum primarily provides volunteer aid for the children of this world.
The Hammer Forum was founded on 12 March 1991 during the second Gulf War by
doctors and citizens of Hamm. They no longer wished to witness the need and misery
that especially
affected the children without providing aid.
