STX Enpaco develops cargo oil pump

SEOUL, Sept. 28 (Yonhap) -- STX Enpaco Corp., a South Korean engine maker, said
Monday that it has developed a submergence-type cargo oil pump for ships that
transport oil and petrochemicals.

The submergence cargo oil pump is used to carry liquid cargo from such ships to
the shore, STX Enpaco said.
Each oil pump costs about 2.5 billion won (US$2.1 million), and the pump's global
market reaches an estimated 600 billion won annually, the company said.
STX Enpaco said it plans to increase its global market share to more than 20
percent by 2012.
