Trade regulations on S. Korean goods on rise

SEOUL, Sept. 29 (Yonhap) -- The number of legal trade measures imposed on South Korean goods is on the rise in the face of deepening protectionism around the world, a report showed Tuesday.

As of July this year, a total of 16 trade measures, including anti-dumping and
safeguard regulations, were imposed on South Korean goods, exceeding 15 cases for
all of last year, according to the report by the Korea Trade and Investment
Promotion Agency.
"Companies need to closely watch new regulations in developing nations," said Cho
Byeong-hwi, head of trade investigation at the agency, in the report.
Of the 16 trade measures, India imposed nine restrictions on South Korean goods
this year, the report said.
