BP-MIGAS: NATIONAL OIL PRODUCTION 954,305 BOPD
Jakarta, Sept 28 (ANTARA) - Head of the Uptream Oil & Gas Business Implementing Agency (BP-Migas) reported that up to September 24, 2009 the national oil production had reached an average of 954,305 barrels per day (bopd).
"The average oil output in September reached 951,867 bopd, and the national output up to September 24 reached 954,305 bopd," Raden Priyono, Head of BP-Migas, said in Jakarta on Monday.
Actually, the national oil production had been set by the government and House of Representatives at 960,000 bopd, while actual production up to September 24 reached only 7,863 million mmscfd.
Priyono said that the average gas production in September reached 8,010 mmscfd, while national production was projected at 7,884 mmscfd.
Priyono explained why the national oil production was also short of the projected 960,000 bopd.
"There had been leaks on marine pipelines in the Belida field owned by ConocoPhillips. Consequently, oil production from there dropped 2,000 bopd", he explained.
Besides, he added, in Sepanjang (KEI) production had been stopped due to a leak on the flow line causing production to drop 2,000 bopd.
Not only that, Priyono said, there was also some pigging in the Sisi-Nubi field owned by Total, causing gas production to drop 70 mmscfd.
