AI says normalcy likely to be restored in its ops
Mumbai, Sep 30 (PTI) Air India Wednesday said normalcy in
its operations was likely to be restored by Wednesday night.
"We hope to restore normalcy by tonight," Air India's
Executive Director, Jitendra Bhargava said.
Air India's operations were hampered over the last five
days as a section of its executive pilots were protesting
against the cut in their Productivity-Linked Incentives (PLIs)
implemented by the air-carrier's management as a part of its
turnaround plan.
Several international and domestic flights had to be
cancelled as a result of the pilots' agitation causing
inconvenience to passengers.
"The order to cut PLI will not be implemented," Bhargava
said.
Air India also extended its apologies to all
inconvenienced during the last few days following disruption
of its services due to the pilots strike, he said.
The agitating pilots have called off their protest
following assurances that there would be no immediate cut in
their incentives and allowances. PTI IAS
