YEMEN INTERESTED IN ENHANCING COOPERATION WITH WB

SANA'A, Sep.30 (Saba) - Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi affirmed on Wednesday Yemen's keenness on enhancing the bilateral cooperation with World Bank (WB).

During his meeting with the WB new Country Director of Yemen, Egypt and Djibouti David Craig, al-Arhabi confirmed the Yemeni government's readiness to present all necessary support to the WB's official so as to enable him to carry out his tasks and contribute to promoting the current and future cooperation relations between Yemen and WB.

The minister praised the efforts exerted by the WB ex-Country Director of Yemen, Egypt and Djibouti Emmanuel Mbi in enhancing and developing the bilateral cooperation frames between Yemen and the bank.

The meeting discussed issues related to the current cooperation between Yemen and the bank and means of developing it so as to serve the common objectives.

Al-Arhabi briefed the WB's official on the nature of accomplishments achieved by Yemen in field of applying the reforms and the challenges that face development process in Yemen.
