Renault Samsung's auto sales rise 16.6 pct in Sept

SEOUL, Oct. 1 (Yonhap) -- Renault Samsung Motors Co., the South Korean unit of
French automaker Renault SA, said Thursday its September auto sales gained 16.6
percent from a year ago on higher domestic demand.
Renault Samsung, the second-smallest carmaker in South Korea, sold 19,357 units
last month with domestic sales jumping 70.1 percent to 13,228 units, while
exports fell 30.6 percent to 6,120 units, the company said in a statement.
