SEOUL, Oct. 3 (Yonhap) -- South Korea will send US$50 million worth of relief aid
to help victims of a deadly earthquake that may have killed thousands of people
in the Indonesian coastal city of Padang, officials said Saturday.
The South Korean government earlier had sent a 43-member search-and-rescue team
along with a package of relief supplies to Indonesia, said the Foreign Ministry
officials.
The Indonesian city with a population of 1 million people was hit by a
7.6-magnitude quake on Wednesday, which left about 1,000 people killed and some
