SALEH CONDOLES YUDHOYONO ON EARTHQUAKE CALAMITY

SANA'A, Oct. 03 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Saturday condolence massage to Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on the earthquake calamity that hit Indonesia recently.

In his letter to Yudhoyono, Saleh expressed his deep saddened for hear news on the earthquake that struck Padang, in West Sumatera last Wednesday.

"On behalf of the government and people of Yemen, I wish to convey our deepest condolence and sympathy to the families of the affected victims," he said.

Up to now, about 770 people had been killed and 295 were seriously injured following the earthquake, measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale, which hit Padang.
