PRESIDENT SALEH CONDOLES PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT

SANA'A, Oct. 03 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Saturday a condolence letter Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on the Typhoon disaster that struck Philippines recently.

"I heard with profoundly saddened the news that your country was stricken by a typhoon that caused tragic loss", President Saleh said.

On behalf of the government and the people of Yemen, President Saleh extended his deepest sympathy to the government and the people of the Republic of the Philippines especially to the bereaved families who had lost their loved ones during the tragic calamity.

In September 30, some 83 people were killed and more than 330,000 displaced after the heaviest rain in more than four decades plunged the Philippines capital into chaos.
