UK to continue support education in Yemen

SANA'A, Oct. 03 (Saba) - A British
official affirmed on Saturday the continuation of the British government's support
in educational
areas.

During her meeting with the Minister of Education Abdul-Salam al-Jawfi, the new
country director at the UK Department for International Development Jiana Red said
that the
UK would keep on its assistance to Yemen to improve the educational process
outcomes, particularly in fields of girl educational programs and secondary
education.
The minister has briefed the UK official on the government's efforts to upgrade the
education level in the country, in addition to the donors' aid and joint programs
in
this regard, especially the Public Education Development Project.
He hailed the British assistance to educational process in Yemen, affirming that
the continuation of such assistance would assist in succeeding the ministry's
strategies
and programs.
