The Chief Minister said he would undertake aerial survey
of the flood affected areas if weather permits.

The main opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP), however,
slammed the state government for failing to realise that the
threat to Kurnool town came from the backwaters of various
rivers and not from the rise in inflows to the Srisailam dam.

Had the government acted when it was raining heavily in
Karnataka on September 30, things would not have been so
