Boat tragedy toll mounts to 45 in Thekkady

Thekkady (Ker), Oct 4 (PTI) The toll in Thekkady tourist
boat tragedy rose to 45 with the recovery of one more body
Sunday, police said.

The body of 20-year-old Abhilash from Hyderabad was
recovered this morning, Idukki S P Kuttapayi told PTI.

The body was found floating in the lake, he said.

The Kerala Tourism Development Corporation (KTDC) owned
double decker boat 'Jalakanyaka" carrying 74 tourists had
capsized in the Thekkadi lake in Periyar wild life sanctuary
