President visits military units

SANA'A, Oct. 04 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah
Saleh visited on Sunday several military units in northern western region where he
welcomed
by Minister of Defense and top military commanders of the region.

President Saleh inspected the units and their readiness and military equipment,
highlighting role of the military and security forces in fighting elements of
terrorism in
Saada province and Harf Sufyan district of Amran province.
He also valued achievements of the army against terrorists and outlaw elements who
killed and kidnapped citizens and left thousands homeless.
He added that all Yemenis would support the defense and security cooperation to do
its national tasks to enhance security and stability in the country.
President Saleh pointed out to the popular relief convoys sent by the people to
support armed and security forces and the displaced people in Saada.
He said that these elements would be defeated, wishing soldiers of these units all
the best and success in serving the nation.
