Yemen, Netherlands discuss higher education cooperation
SANA'A, Oct. 04 (Saba)-
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Saleh BaSorah held a meeting on
Sunday
with delegation of Netherlands Initiative for Capacity Development in Higher
Education (NICHE).
They discussed mechanism of carrying out the initiative to support the higher
education in 22 world countries including Yemen with €150 million for period from
2009 to 2012.
BaSorah reviewed steps taken by the ministry to develop system of the higher
education in the country in cooperation with Netherlands Organization for
International Cooperation
in Higher Education (Nuffic) .
The delegation praised efforts of the ministry to develop the higher education by
building capacities of universities and setting up new six government universities.
