ACT re-operated
ADEN, Oct. 05 (Saba) - Dubai Ports World (DP World) announced on
Monday that Aden Container Terminal (ACT) is re-operated, after being hit by a
strong rainstorm
late in September.
DP World Director General - Aden Aref al-Muhairi said that the company in
coordination with its head office in Dubai has sent experts and specialized
technicians to fix
the damages. After two weeks, the ATC has operated partly.
The ACT has been hit by a strong rainstorm and 100 Km-hour winds damaged the
feeding electricity cable. No casualties were reported.
The rainstorm has hit Aden governorate on September 2nd, causing damages to homes,
with some houses burned due to electrical faults, and uprooting trees and light
posts.
The newly-built Al-Tuwahi Mall has been badly affected, resulting in YR 3 million
losses.
