Prince Sultan bin Salman sheds light on tourism development 2


Prince Sultan bin Salman pointed out that the conference will review
issues pertaining to climate change and its impact on urban heritage.

He said at the meeting, attended by ministers and representatives of
tourism administrations in more than 154 countries and organization,
that the organization's general assembly comes after the global
economic crisis and at a time when the world hopes that the tourism
sector will positively contribute to the process of flourishing the
world economy in its capacity as one of the most important productive
sectors at the regional and international arenas.
Prince Sultan bin Salman said tourism has been contributing to
increasing the national gross product in several countries as well as
to recruiting workforce , attracting investments and increasing
exports in addition to its role as regards projecting cultures and
enhancing relations among the nations in a manner that realizes
stability.
Prince Sultan expressed appreciation for the warm welcome given to
the participants of the meeting by Kazakhstan’s government and
people.
He also congratulated Dr Talib al-Rifa'ei for electing him as the
secretary general of the UN international tourism organization by the
organization’s executive council.
The participants of the meeting reviewed the reports submitted by the
organization’s secretary general and the executive council and other
related topics.
it is worth mentioning that Prince Sultan bin Salman is accompanied
by a high-ranking delegation.
