Ground broken at Park's football center

SUWON, South Korea, Oct. 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's football star Park Ji-sung
of Manchester United was on hand Tuesday as ground was broken at a new football
center south of Seoul named after the winger.
The Park Ji-sung Football Center, located in the national team captain's
hometown, is scheduled to be completed in May next year and will feature two
synthetic turf fields and a two-story clubhouse with a clinic, museum and
library.
It will run European educational programs for teenagers between six and 13 and
aims to expand to local and overseas branches.
Hundreds of football figures including Chung Mong-joon, vice president of the
International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA), Cho Chung-yeon,
president of Korea Football Association, and Huh Jung-moo, head coach of the
national squad, came to Suwon, 46 kilometers south of Seoul, to attend the
ceremony marking the event.
