Death sentence against Pakistani drug smuggler upheld

SANA'A, Oct. 07 (Saba)- Sana'a
Appeal Court upheld on Tuesday a sentence of death against a Pakistani drug smuggler
and
jailed five others for 25 years after convicting them of drug trafficking.
Headed by Judge Mohamed al-Hakimi, the court ordered to damage the seized amount of
drugs which found with Pakistanis.
The court acquitted nine other seven other Pakistanis of the group of 16 who were
arrested in Yemen's territorial waters in April of 2008 on board a boat from
Pakistan.
