Hajjah displaced people, women prisoners situations discussed

HAJJAH, Oct. 06
(Saba)- Governor of Hajjah Farid Mujawar discussed on Tuesday with the International
Committee
of the Red Cross (ICRC), headed by Dania Dawoud, situations of women prisoners in
Hajjah as well as the level of follow up and care they receive from the concerned
authorities.
The meeting also dealt with situations of the displaced persons in Al-Marzouq Camp
in Haradh districts due to the rebellion in the governorate of Saada, and the
possibilities
of contribution of the ICRC to improving the living environment of the displaced
families.
The governor reviewed the humanitarian efforts exerted for the women prisoners
through training them on particular skills, in addition to efforts for sheltering
the displaced
persons, estimated at 19,000.
For her part, the ICRC official pointed out that the visit comes within the
humanitarian efforts of the Committee to evaluate situations of women prisoners in
Hajjah as
well as the level of care provided, and to visit Al-Marzouq Camp for the displaced
people.
