YEMEN, MALAYSIA TALK INVESTMENT
KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 07 (Saba) - Yemen and Malaysia have held talks in
Malaysia's capital Kuala Lumpur that focused on ways to encourage
Malaysian investment in Yemen.
During the meeting that gathered Yemen's envoy to Malaysia Abdullah
Mohammed al-Muntasir and chairman of the Malaysian Malay Chamber of
Commerce and Industry Ali al-Attas, the two countries agreed to
strengthen cooperation on small and medium industries as well as
technical education.
During the meeting that dealt with several topics including
practical steps to send a Malaysian expert team to Yemen to look
into investment opportunities and take advantage of merits offered
small and medium industries development in the country for, the
Malaysian chamber voiced its readiness to cooperation on the matter.
Moreover, the meeting discussed arrangements for a meeting between
chairman of the Malaysian chamber and Yemen's minister of Industry
and Trade to discuss arrangements for starting implementation of the
project at the existent industrial zones in the provinces of Aden,
Lahj, Abyan and Hodeida.
Al-Attas also expressed personal and his chamber's readiness to
establish technical institutes in Yemen after those in Malaysia.
