Saleh meets Vice-Director of Middle East office in British FCO

SANA'A, Oct.07 (Saba)
- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Wednesday with Vice-Director of Middle
East
and North Africa Office in the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) Frank
Baker.
Saleh discussed with the British official the bilateral relations and the joint
cooperation fields between the two friendly countries in fields of development and
combating
terrorism and sea piracy.
On another hand, the meeting reviewed the latest developments topped by the
developments in the African Horn area.
The British official renewed his country's supportive position to Yemen and its
unity, security and stability.
He affirmed his country's keenness on enhancing its relations with Yemen and its
readiness to support Yemen in the different fields especially the development
field, noting
Yemen's efforts in field of reforms and combating terrorism.
For his part, President Saleh noted the Yemeni-British relations and the support
presented to Yemen by UK weather during the donors' conference in London or raising
the
British allocations to support the development process in Yemen.
