Al-Arhabi meets WB vice president

ISTANBUL, Oct. 07 (Saba)- Deputy Prime Minister
for Economic affairs and Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation Abdul
Kareem
al-Arhabi has held talks with the vice president of world bank for middle east and
north Africa over projects which have been funded by the WB within program of the
regional
assistance in Yemen.
The talks were held on the sideline of the annual meeting for the World Bank and
International Monetary fund which was being held in Istanbul.
The WB official affirmed concern of the bank to support Yemen, saying that the bank
would fund further development projects in the country.
She added that WB would issue an initiative to support the economic integration
between Yemen and countries of the region in field of infrastructure projects.
Meanwhile, the deputy prime minister attended a meeting for the WB president with
Arab officials over impacts of the international financial crisis in Arab
countries.
