S. Korean teenage football player signs with Ajax

By Kim Boram
SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korean teenage football player Suk Hyun-jun
signed with AFC Ajax of the Dutch league to play starting next year, the club's
Web site said Thursday.
The 18-year-old attacker signed a one-and-half-year contract with the Dutch club
to join the team in January, it said. It did not elaborate on the contract.
Suk, who played in South Korea's under-18 national team, had a tryout in
September last year, the club said.
He will be the eighth South Korean athlete to play in the Eredivisie, after Park
Ji-sung and Lee Young-pyo who played for PSV Eindhoven.
AFC Ajax, the 29-time Dutch league champion led by coach Martin Jol, currently
stands at third in the 2009-2010 season that started in early August.
