STX Pan Ocean taps global LNG transportation market
SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- STX Pan Ocean Co., South Korea's largest bulk-shipping
line, said Thursday that it will launch a liquefied natural gas (LNG)-shipping
business with a Norwegian shipping company.
Along with Norwegian company Hoegh LNG AS, STX Pan Ocean will participate in an
LNG transportation project planned by Spanish gas and oil company Repsol YPF.
The two companies will ship LNG from July 2010 for 33 months.
Shares of STX Pan Ocean were trading at 11,550 won on the Seoul bourse as of 2:10
p.m., up 3.59 percent.
