SANA'A, Oct.09 (Saba) - An employee of UN relief was injured when
armed rebels of al-Houthi followers attacked last Thursday a
humanitarian relief convoy in northern province of Jawf, the
GPC-run almotamar.net reported on Friday.

General director of medical care in Jawf province Hussein Abu Hadra
said that the rebel elements interrupted the relief convoy presented
by UN, UNICEF and WFP to about 400 displaced families in al-Mabdah
camp who moved from Harf Sufian district in Amran province and Saada
province due to the confrontations between the army and al-Houthi
rebles.

cars which were with the aid convoy, adding that armed citizens near
the area hurried up to open the convoy and exchanged fire with the
rebels.

For his part, General director of public health office in Jawf
province Hussein al-Ghanimi considered this accident a clear
hindrance by al-Houthi sabotage elements for the local and
international relief efforts, noting tdhat the UN injured employee
is currently under intensive care in a hospital in the capital
Sana'a.
