3 AFRICANS TIED TO INSURGENTS IN YEMEN

SAADA, Oct. 09 (Saba) - Three Africans have been arrested in Yemen
on suspicion of having links to the Houthi rebels in the north, a
security source said on Friday.

The police are interrogating the arrested, who were believed to have
come from one the Horn of Africa states.

The arrests came more than a week after seven Somalis were reported
caught fighting the troops in support for the insurgents who have
been fighting the army since 2004.

And amid continuous battles to rid north Yemen of the insurgents,
several Houthi-linked terrorists were arrested over the last few
days in Saada and Amran.

The security forces also seized a car carrying fuel on the way for
the Houthis.

Large quantities of supplies including fuel, weapons and
ammunitions were seized in recent weeks as suspected cars were
blocked while trying to smuggle the supplies for the rebels in
Saada.
