S. Korea, Vietnam set for FM talks before summit

SEOUL, Oct. 11 (Yonhap) -- South Korea and Vietnam will hold foreign ministerial
talks this week in Hanoi to fine-tune the agenda for a summit between their
leaders later this month, officials here said Sunday.

Seoul Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan was to leave for Hanoi on Sunday night for
the meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart, Pham Gia Khiem, on Monday, aimed
primarily at preparing for South Korean President Lee Myung-bak's trip there.
"The ministers plan to have prior consultations as the president is scheduled to
visit Vietnam late this month," a ministry official said. The South Korean
government has yet to announce the date or other details of Lee's trip.
Yu is to return home on Tuesday.
